ZM0002 Apartamentos Tamarindos, Peñiscola

This resort, popular with the Spanish, stretches along the coast from the old walled citadel towards Benicarlo. The large sandy beach is backed by a range of hotels and apartments and within the old town is a castle and some interesting little shops and restaurants. On summer evenings the recently extended promenade is frequented by the locals for their leisurely stroll.

Some 5k from the centre of the town, in sub-tropical gardens opposite the beach are the well maintained Tamarindos apartments (55 in total). Facilities include two pools (25m x 13m & 1m-1.9m deep, and 12m x 6m & 1.5m deep, open all year, subject to weather) with lifeguard mid June-mid Sept. There is also table tennis, laundry service and a summer poolside cafe bar serving tapas and light snacks.

Max: 4/6 - On ground or first floor of low-rise buildings beside swimming pools. Living room with tv + single sofa bed with single pull-out beneath. Kitchenette (2-ring hob + mini grill/oven). 2 twin bedrooms. Bathroom/wc. Terrace or balcony. Patio furniture.
