Soto Iruz is one of many small villages found in the Toranzo valley, most of which still maintain the traditional farming methods found throughout northern Spain. Surrounded by lush green fields with houses scattered here & there, this is a charming 2 storey holiday home (2nd floor attic room not used), semi-detached to the friendly owner's house & a short distance from a small river & old water mill. The views are outstanding and it is a delightful location from which to explore the lovely surroundings.

Nicely fitted, spacious kitchen/diner with f/freezer & m/wave. Lounge with satelite home cinema tv, dvd & small library. Free wifi connection throughout. Bathroom/wc with w/machine. 1st floor has 4 dble bedrms - 1 with a verandah overlooking the river - a 2nd bathroom/wc and a small balcony. Cot <2yrs. 4 portable heaters. Large enclosed garden with furniture & bbq.

There is a £150 supplement for week starting 24 March.

A fantastic week. Lovely casa with everything you need. Visited mountain passes but had to detour because of snowdrifts! Go to the beaches in the early afternoon whilst Spanish take their siesta!

All the local beaches are excellent and our few days out included a visit to the fantastic Cabárceno wildlife park - kids loved the falconry show, a trip on the shuttle ferry to Santander - great shopping and beaches, and a train journey to Bilbao, a lovely city with lots to see
