If you want to experience real rural living in a holiday home that is a little unusual, then this is the casa for you. Up in the hills with glorious views of the Cayón valley below and Santander and the sea beyond, what was once a 'cabaña' (stable) has been cleverly converted into single storey holiday accommodation. The friendly British owners live above. The individual stalls are now 'rooms' with half height doors and curtains for privacy (except the shower room which has a proper door), and simply furnished, it is delightfully different from other casas. Sarón is just a short drive for shops, supermarkets and a Friday market. Highly recommended by previous visitors.

Living room with kitchen corner (m/wave, 2 ring hob and mini oven - no full size oven), woodburner & tv. Dble & twin bedrms. Shower room/wc. C/heating. Covered terrace with garden furniture & gas bbq which is more than adequate for cooking purposes.

There is a £87 supplement for week starting 24 March.
