Espinaredo is a small quiet village surrounded by mountains and has one of the most important concentration of horreos in Asturias, some of which date as far back as the 16thC. Usually made of wood and used for the storage of grain, horreos are store rooms built on stilts to keep the wildlife and damp away and, part of Spain's heritage, are a common sight in parts of northern Spain. Alongside a local track, Casa de Aldea Cuyar is a semi-detached, traditional house that has been sympathetically restored to preserve its character and original features in keeping with these beautiful surroundings whilst adding all mods cons to ensure that it provides a comfortable and welcoming holiday home.
