With nothing more than just a couple of other houses in the vicinity, Casa Samarkanda is in a quiet and tranquil location up in the mountains above the valley of Espinaredo (3k). Semi detached to an unused barn, it is surrounded by hills and, with 2 forests nearby, the area is ideal for walking and has numerous marked routes that you can follow either on foot or bicycle. There is also excellent trout fishing in the local river (permit required). A mobile baker visits the village daily and a fishmonger and butcher visit weekly.

Kitchen with f/freezer & mini oven (no full size oven). Living room has woodburner & dvd/video. Bathroom/wc accessed via the garden. 1st floor has 2 dble bedrms, both with access to balcony.
