Travel information

Travelling to / from Portsmouth?

The M27 westbound carriageway near Portsmouth is due for resurfacing between the 14th September and the 4th October and will be closed nightly during these dates (Monday to Friday, 9pm to 6am). During this time a signed diversion route will be in place. Drivers are advised to head to the M27 eastbound carriageway then join the main diversion at the A2030 eastern road junction.

Travelling to / from Poole?

A section of the A349, the main access road to the north of Poole, will be closed to traffic in both directions from 10pm on 24th July 2016 for 4 months. During this time a signed diversion route will be in place. Details can be found at the following link:-

Poole Bridge will be closed for major refurbishment from the 12th September 2016 to the end of June 2017. For access to and from the port, please follow signs for the Twin Sails Bridge and allow extra time for your journey.
