Valencia's new African animal park
Camouflaged natural barriers enable you to get up close and personal with more than 4,000 animals from 250 species at the new Biopark Valencia – an impressive recreation of varying African landscapes and ecosystems.
This important conservation and education project has two aims – to protect endangered animal species and to raise our awareness and appreciation of nature. It also minimises the park’s impact on the environment, the artificial lakes and rivers using rainwater which is treated and heated with solar panels according to the needs of each species.
