We need to have accurate information about the dimensions of your vehicle for a variety of reasons, including safety.
Supplements apply to cars, MPV's / 4x4's over 5m long and 1.83m high and Motorhomes, Mini-buses and Vans over 5m long and 2.6m high.
Please make sure that you specify the correct dimensions of your vehicle using the dropdown fields when making your booking. You must select 'yes' to 'Are you taking any roof items?' if you are doing so otherwise the correct space will not be allocated.
You can take a rear-mounted bicycle carrier on the back of your vehicle for a small supplement. Please select the ‘Yes’ option under ‘Are you taking a rear-mounted bicycle carrier’.
Tell us the full height of your vehicle inclusive of any roofload such as a roof box or bike carrier.

Due to the size of the garage on our high-speed ferry, Normandie Express, we cannot transport any vehicle towing a caravan or trailer on this ship.
Please note that all vehicles over 1.83m high need to be reversed onto this ship.
To comply with French and Spanish legislation, we must have the vehicle registration numbers of all the vehicles that we transport.
If you are travelling with a hired vehicle, please let us know when you are asked to input your vehicle registration number on step 4.

We cannot guarantee your travel, or any assistance, without fulldisclosure of your needs at the time of booking.
Occasionally, there may be times when your booking has been confirmed but, after discussing the assistance you require and consulting with the relevant ships and ports, we may be unable to carry you on a particular sailing. This is because we have safety limits for the number of passengers with disability or reduced mobility that we can safely carry.

Your pet must be covered by the Pets Travel Scheme in order to travel
You cannot book animals that are not covered by the Pets Travel Scheme online. In order to do so, please call 0330 159 7000
A pet passport or third country certificate showing that the pet has been micro-chipped and vaccinated against rabies. Your pet may not leave or re-enter the UK until 21 calendar days have elapsed from the date of the rabies vaccination. It is compulsory for dogs to wear a muzzle.
Dogs - A pet passport or third country certificate showing the dog has been treated against tapeworm not less than 24 hours, and not more than 120 hours before arrival in the UK. Tick treatment is no longer required. It is compulsory for dogs to wear a muzzle.
Cats and ferrets - A pet passport or third country certificate. Tick and tapeworm treatment is no longer required.
There are several options for travelling with your pet on board our ships. Only assistance dogs are allowed in passenger areas of the ship.
Only dogs are allowed to stay in kennels. Two different sizes of kennels are available on board; one size for large dogs and one size for small dogs.
Although Bretagne has kennels, they’re not compulsory on our Portsmouth to St Malo route. Your dog is allowed to remain in your vehicle.
When sailing to/from Spain onboard Cap Finistère or Pont-Aven, dogs must stay in kennels.
When sailing from Plymouth to Roscoff on a Thursday overnight sailing kennels are not compulsory.

When travelling with a pet on board Etretat or Baie de Seine, you must book a pet-friendly cabin.
When travelling on board Normandie it is not compulsory to book a pet-friendly cabin.
When travelling on board Cap Finistère it is not compulsory to book a pet-friendly cabin if kennels are available.
On ships without kennels or pet-friendly cabins, your pet must remain in your vehicle. Visits to see your pet must be arranged by staff at the Information Desk once you are on board.
On our high-speed ferry, Normandie Express, visits to your vehicle will only be allowed in exceptional circumstances.
If you are booking holiday accommodation, please make sure that you have chosen accommodation that accepts pets or your booking may be refused.
