Take a boat trip to tranquil Brownsea Island or wander the seafront and enjoy the views around the quay. Heading west along the coast takes you towards Weymouth and the Blackdown Hills while going east will take you towards Southampton and Portsmouth from where you can get the ferry to the Isle of Wight. Heading inland will take you north towards Salisbury, Bath and the Cotswolds.
