Getting to Portsmouth is very easy with motorway links to the M27 providing access to the Midlands and the South. It is less than two hours drive from London making it the closest cross-channel ferry port to the Capital.
Caen ferry port is actually situated at Ouistreham 15 km north of Caen itself. The port is easily accessed via the autoroute and is clearly sign-posted "car ferry" from all the main access routes around Caen.
Caen is a busy industrial and cultural centre in Normandy. The city was founded by William the Conquerer in the 11th century and boasts a castle and several medieval abbeys as well as a wealth of restaurants, markets and attractions. As well as being an exciting destination to visit, Caen is an excellent gateway into France with motorway links to Paris, the Loire and beyond.
