Impressions of an era.

On its 10th anniversary, the Impressionism Museum in Giverny has chosen to celebrate the work of Claude Monet, juxtaposing it with works by his contemporary, Symbolist painter Jean Francis Auburtin (1866-1930).
On discovering Monet's works exhibited in Paris, Auburtin chose to follow in the great master's steps. From Belle-Île to Étretat, Pourville and Varengeville, via Provence, he was to paint the grandiose beauty of these sites. Bringing together an important collection of paintings and drawings by Auburtin, as well as several of Monet's most remarkable works, the exhibition will show two different interpretations of the same landscapes.
