Event - Parade de la Libération
Festivals & Carnivals
Bayeaux, the first town in France to be liberated.

This "Liberation Parade" will feature more than 150 vintage vehicles from the Second World War era, slowly winding along the main street of Bayeux, the first city liberated in France. This took place on June 7, 1944, a day after the landing of the Allied forces on the Norman beaches (Operation Overlord). A historic and popular parade styled as a reconstruction will accompany the vintage vehicles.
