Les Maisons Satie

The musician and composer Erik Satie was born in this house in 1866 and went on to become a world-renowned creative who also wrote and painted, counting the likes of Picasso and Debussy amongst his friends and collaborators.

The Maisons Satie, is an interactive and quirky museum with an innovative mix of music, lights, images and objects to create a fanciful and humurous scene that reveals the man, his music and his time. There is also a space containing a presentation of some of Satie's original works as well as works from artists who worked with him such as Cocteau and Derain.
