The first cable car ever built in a city, Grenoble's Bastille Cable Car  is the perfect way to see the Alps with its panoramic view. Designed as round 'bubbles' that can each carry up to 6 people, the cable car reaches up to the Bastille, an impressive military fort built from limestone in 1848 but which never saw gunfire until WW2.
