Charming semi-detached cottage in one way street on the outskirts of the market town of Pont l'Abbé. Fitted kitchen (f/freezer, m/wave, small d/washer, w/machine). Light and airy simply furnished living room with tv, dvd, sofa bed, ornamental fireplace, exposed stone walls and original open staircase - handrail one side only. Shower/wc. King size double bedroom. 1st floor has wc & cosy twin bedroom (beds may be linked to make king size double). Electric central heating 10€/week 25/4-22/5. Small but pleasant enclosed garden (via gate & stone steps from street) with lawn, decked patio, garden furniture, bbq. Free parking in small car park at side. Compulsory bed linen hire charge 15€ per bedroom per stay (beds made prior to arrival). Utility charge: included.
Pont l'Abbé is famous for embroidery & holds a festival the 2nd week of July. The town has many amenities including good shops, bars, restaurants and a Thursday morning market. This is a popular part of south Brittany with many beautiful places to visit. The beaches at Pointe de la Torche (14k) are popular for surfing, and the harbours of Le Guilvinec (14k) and Lesconil (9k) are great places to buy freshly caught fish. Also within a short drive is Bénodet (11k), a charming seaside resort where you can take a boat trip up the river to the medieval city of Quimper (18k) or out to the Glénan islands
