Welcome to Brittany Ferries économie, a no-frills service offering even more choice to Spain and France. If you're looking for a lower fare and are content to travel without the cruise-style experience offered by our cruise ferries, the économie service is perfect. As with all our ferries, the économie ships are operated by Brittany Ferries bilingual French crew and officers.

About our économie service

Our économie services, we're able to offer more économie sailings to France and Spain at even more attractive times. Our weekly sailings to Santander and Bilbao are popular and, together with a more comprehensive service to Le Havre, our économie brand opens up even more opportunity for mile-saving ferry travel to France and Spain.

What to expect on board

Customers familiar with our cruise ferries will find that our économie ferry Connemara has smaller public areas and generally less space onboard. All ships have self-service restaurants offering limited but tasty French cuisine. All ships have shops selling a range of tobacco, spirits (at French prices), confectionery and gifts but these are limited when compared to our cruise ferries. The cabins are comfortable yet functional, some have vinyl flooring instead of carpet and there are a limited number of wheelchair accessible cabins on each ship. Pet owners will welcome the pet-friendly cabins for dogs and cats.

Connemara

Connemara offers our no-frills service between Rosslare in Ireland to Roscoff as well as Rosslare to Bilbao in northern Spain.
