Facilities on board Connemara

(COVID-19) To ensure the safety of both our passengers and crew, life on board has changed - new procedures are in place and facilities may be limited.

self-service restaurant

A self-service restaurant is located on Deck 5. Although smaller than the restaurant on board Pont-Aven, you can still find a tasty selection of hot and cold dishes as well as snacks and desserts. There is no café or à la carte restaurant on board.

Wi-Fi internet access

We are pleased to offer an enhanced Wi-Fi service on board with four options designed to suit your needs. These range from free Wi-Fi in public areas to options for multiple devices and access in all areas of the ship. For more information please visit our Wi-Fi page or enquire at the information desk on board.

Le Bar

Situated in the middle of deck 5, Le Bar serves draught or bottled beer. There is also a selection of French wines, spirits, soft drinks as well as crisps and snacks.

Fun & Games

During the crossing we have a range of board games and puzzles available to borrow from the Information Desk. There is also a small play area located close to the restaurant.

La Boutique

There is a small shop on Deck 5 offering a limited selection of spirits, wine, tobacco, perfume and cosmetics, confectionery and newspapers.

Wines, spirits and tobacco are sold at French prices, even on our routes to Spain, which means they cannot be purchased within Irish territorial waters - the shop may open for browsing, and sales of other goods closer to Ireland, but we are not allowed to sell passengers alcohol and tobacco within 20 minutes of the Irish port. The purchase of alcoholic beverages is prohibited to persons under 18.

On deck

Connemara features deck space so you can stretch your legs and enjoy a place to relax, while enjoying the sea air and great views, particularly when entering or leaving the port. Please note some outdoor areas are only accessible via stairs.

There are 13 pet-friendly cabins on board Connemara (located in a dedicated corridor) available to both Santander and Roscoff. However, there are no kennels and pets on both routes are not permitted to stay in vehicles during the crossing. There is a small dog exercise area located at the back of deck 6 (approximately 20m long), with easy access from the pet-friendly cabins which are located on the starboard side of the ship.
