New season, new menus
As spring turns into summer, Brittany Ferries' new onboard menus are being introduced across the fleet - with the promise of delicious new flavours and treats in store for passengers.
Head Chef Yvon Rivoallan and his team review the menus twice a year, selecting, testing and buying all the quality ingredients they require to create each individual dish to a consistently very high standard. Many old favourites remain on the menu because of their enduring popularity, but each season sees the arrival of new dishes which reflect trends and tastes in both France and the UK.
For example, in the main restaurant look out for spicy duck served with beans and Serrano ham, and delicious rack of pork cooked in hay with a buckwheat dumpling. In the self-service restaurant the choice of main courses changes each day of the week, and new dishes include a thick braised beef stew cooked à la provençale, a mixed grill, Tajine of lamb with artichokes and lemon, and a French classic - chicken fricassée.
Look out too for the daily specials. And if you have special dietary needs, gluten-free choices are served on request in the main and self-service restaurants.
Whatever your preferences, bon appétit!
