Plymouth
Zoos and Aquaria

Dartmoor Zoological Park is a 30-acre zoological garden located near the village of Sparkwell, on the outskirts of Plymouth. The zoo is the inspiration for the book and the film, We Bought a Zoo. A family-owned zoo, it has the widest variety of big cats in the South West including tigers, lions, jaguar, lynx and cheetah. There are also wolves, raccoons, meerkats, capybara, monkeys, deer, and a fantastic bug and reptile collection.
