Château and Musée de St Malo

St Malo
Attractions and places of interest

The city's impressive medieval castle, the Château de St Malo, was once owned by the Dukes of Brittany. Today, it houses the town museum in its great keep. Tracing the history of the city since its founding, the museum holds excellent exhibits about the legacy of the corsairs, Surcouf and Duguay-Trouin, and the occupation during the Second World War. There are also many model ships and paintings.

Once you reach the top of the château you'll enjoy some great views from the look-out tower.
