Villedieu les Poêles

St Michel de Montjoie is the last remaining base for Bleu de Vire 'blue' granite extraction and this museum in the village centre has an exceptional collection of granite objects. A demonstration quarry explains the process and work of the site and the visit ends with a presentation of work by a sculptor-artist and a film about the quarry.
