Attractions and places of interest

A 19th century urban palace, the Casa Lis is today a museum of Art Nouveau and Art Deco, particularly the decorative arts. With collections gleaned from the period between the end of the 19th century and WW2, the Casa Lis has some remarkable exhibits including the best collection of 19th century French porcelain dolls on public display in the world. Furniture, jewellery, stained glass and many other decorative arts are on display as well as a collection of small criselefantina sculptures, which have become an icon of the Art Deco period.
