History & specification of Cap Finistère
Built in Kiel, Germany in 2001. Previously known as Superfast V when she sailed for the Greek company Attica.
Cap Finistère began sailing under Brittany Ferries colours in March 2010 originally operating between Portsmouth to Cherbourg and Portsmouth to Santander. Cap Finistère can attribute her name to a rock-bound peninsula on the west coast of Galicia, Spain, "Cape Finisterre."
During January 2011 she went under extensive refit in Gdansk, Poland and had several modifications to improve passenger comfort. This included the addition of a further 10 of the very popular pet-friendly cabins, the addition of a cinema, and improvements to the restaurant and outdoor deck areas.
In March 2011 she started sailing her new schedule between Portsmouth and Bilbao twice a week with a third rotation between Portsmouth and Santander.
